Alabama Gulf Coast

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach

Arguably one of the “fastest growing areas in south Alabama,” the entire thirty-two miles of sugar-white sand beaches have been quite the hotspot for summertime adventures. The entire coast has amazing accommodations for families, award-winning restaurants, and events that create lifelong memories.

Whether you are a festival fanatic that craves loud bass and lots of crazy dancing or you’re a little more laid back and prefer the quieter environment, there are plenty of options for both groups! Here’s a list of this area’s most popular events:

Hangout Music Festival

Easily the largest event in the area, where it seems as if the entire city shuts down for the week. It’s a dream come to life. A wide variety of music from today’s popular artists, all kinds of crazy food (good food at that), and to top it all off, you’re doing this all on the beach! If you love music and the beach, we highly recommend giving Hangout Fest a try. (We’ll be there next year!)

The Mullet Toss

Yes, you read that right and yes, it’s exactly what you’re thinking. People go nuts about this event, as they should. If you love to drink all day, hangout on the beach, and of course, toss a mullet, then this is the perfect event for you. (Drinking a bushwacker is a must.)

Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show

Pity to the ones that are allergic to seafood, because it’s some of the best in this area. This festival is perfect for the fanatics that are willing to branch out and try different types of dishes prepped by the locals. Why not go and see what everyone has to offer? And not to mention, there is a car show along with it!

NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship

Named “Best new Event” by SortsTravel magazine, beach volleyball is on the rise. It’s one of the fastest growing sports and is very popular in this area, whether for leisure or for a competitive style.

  1. Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking
what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I
    steal it? :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours–
but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google
(would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself
    during the coronavirus scare!
